Bruenor BattlehammerThe dwarf King of Mithril Hall, Bruenor is the adoptive father of Cattie-brie and Wulfgar. He first met Drizzt in Icewind Dale, when Drizzt helped Bruenor fight off some dangerous mountain yetis. It was not long before the two quickly become friends and began to fight alongside each other against evil.

Cattie BrieCattie Brie, the adoptive human warrior daughter of Bruenor Battlehammer. Cattie Brie was the first person to accept Drizzt for who he was, even though Bruenor had met Drizzt first. She possesses a stubborn fighting spirit due to her foster father, Bruenor. Cattie Brie shares a romance with Drizzt many times in the story, however the two are afraid to embrace it due to their racial differences, and the consequences of it.

Drizzt Do'UrdenDrizzt Do’Urden is of the drow race and was born into the family as the third son of House Do’Urden. Naturally, people of the drow are evil, sinister, and thrived on hate, malice and chaos. Drizzt however, was not of that nature. His honorable and justly ways questioned the drow ways and eventually left his homeland in search of a more moral life. From there on he has met many new friends who did not cast him away as an evil drow, and accepted him as an ally.
